From time to time, Palo Alto Eye Group participates in clinical research studies to test the effectiveness of new drugs or medical devices.  Interested patients go through a thorough screening process and are required to sign an informed consent form.  A typical study requires four to six office visits over a six month period.  The medical exams are provided free of charge and study subjects are compensated for their time.
